Need another Guitar and/or Bass for Classic Prog/Metal type of Lineup

Description

Current Lead / Rhythm Guitarist and Singer looking to fill out a practice group and hopefully gigging group (when our music is ready). Based on our time, we want to limit most practices to areas around Frederick, Howard, or (northern) Montgomery County. We're intermediate experienced but weekend warrior types (in mid-40s), and we have families. We have a loose goal of small gigs later this year, maybe more when ready, but no pressure to rush in quickly. Music quality determines what happens and when. We are focusing mostly on heavy covers from around 1975 to 1985, with a little variety outside of those. We'll use mostly clean vocals, probably in our own style, instead of a close copy. We like heavy music, but we are not a dark or death metal band, and don’t want angry vibes. We want good times, positive attitudes! A few original songs are welcome, but only in a venue if those can really hang with the classic material. My preference as a lead guitarist, is to find another lead / rhythm guitarist, who can trade off the solos and harmony lines with me. This is a "niche tribute" type of idea, not just for one band or decade. We have a few songs in rotation now, but are open to some of your ideas. Songs will definitely include deep tracks and a few hits. This should appeal to people who like tribute type bands, but we prefer those who are not so cliche. To name drop, familiar bands like Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, UFO, and similar from the UK and europe. We may add other influences too, like Rush, (early) Van Halen, Megadeth, Metallica, or Ozzy & Randy (the ultimate UK / USA hybrid). Maybe we'll throw in some Alter Bridge or something like that. You will get to develop and exercise your instrument chops with this lineup. Also, if you're at intermediate-level but want to practice this music above (with either a band or just two guitars), then I am willing to teach a few things that I know (limited time permitting). We are currently using a combination of in-person and video type (Zoom or Google) meetings, to work out our practices. What happens later, depends on how well this blends. We have a potential drummer, but there could be an opening there too. So if you are a drummer or want to suggest one, please ask about that too. There’s lots of other band types popping up, but who else wants to keep the Classic Metal flame burning?
