Description

WOBURN, MA — Woburn Memorial High School has posted its annual lip dub video. The annual tradition is locally famous, and this year's edition brought in WCVB sports correspondent Mike Lynch as a special guest. Directed by the yearbook staff, this year's video featured dozens of seniors in socially-distanced clips, edited together by Woburn Public Media Center. The students performed OneRepublic's "I Lived" for the 5:32 video. Lip dubs are music videos that combine lip synching and audio dubbing, and have become a popular year-end activity in public high schools throughout the country. They typically involve a single-unedited shot of people lip synching the song, with the original sing being dubbed into the final version during post production. While they often appear like standard music videos, they often involve hours of preparation and rehearsal.
