We are seeking a dependable, organized, and diligent Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and performing preventive maintenance relative to the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems in the hotel. Fort McKinley was once used to defend Portland Harbor during the Spanish-American War. Formerly army barracks, the Inn, opened in 2015, has been restored with meticulous attention to historic detail preserving its original character. **Seasonal Position** APPLY ONLINE: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned locations, including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, basic carpentry, and building systems Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repair Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (examples: drywall, painting, doors, locks, building fixtures) Perform routine maintenance of building systems Perform routine preventative maintenance programs, follow established standards and guidelines Adherence to all Colwen and brand standards Work with supervisor to identify and complete all technical projects Respond timely to all work orders Clean and assist with upkeep of facility Assist with Houseperson duties as needed Assist with transporting guest around the island/Driving golf cart Maintain building exterior/grounds not serviced by contractor ( painting, lawncare planting) Perform other related duties as assigned
