SeeScan is currently seeking the right person to join our team as a Purchasing Manager to lead the Purchasing team and help ensure the timely purchasing of the company’s materials, supplies, equipment, and services. In this position, you will • Manage buyers from order placement to delivery of goods or services • Track and report on key functional metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the purchasing team • Track order status, monitor late deliveries and items below safety stock to ensure that buyers have materials, tools, supplies, and equipment arriving on time to meet customer demands and production schedules • Develop, lead, and execute procurement procedures and strategies • Assess, manage and mitigate risks • Discover and transition to new vendors when needed • Become an expert user of our ERP system, using best practices and sharing expertise with others • Maintain strong vendor relationships, track performance and provide vendor feedback • Follow environmental and safety regulations/acts in compliance with all state and federal laws • Comply with and promote corporate guidelines on business ethics and safety About You • Solid judgment and decision-making skills • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Excellent problem-solving skills while maintaining both speed and accuracy • Ability to multi-task effectively, and comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately • Capable of conducting all activities with the highest degree of integrity • Ability to gather and analyze data and to present it an effective manner Desired Skills and Experience This is a sampling of the type of skills and experience we’d like to see in our ideal candidate. If you don’t check off all the boxes, that’s okay – we’re more interested in hiring someone who will be the right fit for our community and who demonstrates the capability to learn. • Experience as a Purchasing Manager / Supervisor • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or at least 5 years of purchasing experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree o At least 5 years of purchasing experience in the electronics or manufacturing industry strongly desired o Experience in the procurement of electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), custom cables and cable assemblies is especially desirable o APICS Certification is a plus • Strong vendor management / partnering skills • Knowledge of and experience using an ERP system o Microsoft AX experience is a plus • Full proficiency with MS Office, with advanced MS Excel skills (including formulas, charts, data merges, and use of functions) required We offer • A position within an established company, growing from humble beginnings in our founder’s garage to a team of over 300 • A culture of transparency, growth, and innovation • Traditional and Roth 401(k) investment options, with a current company matching contribution of up to $50 per paycheck (biweekly) • Flexible Paid Time Off plan with no cap or “use it or lose it” requirement If this application is of interest, please apply online at.
