We all heard the right wing nut talking heads on January 7 telling us Trump did not incite the siege on our Nations Capital because in his speech the day before he used the word "peace" once in his speech. And they played that 6 second clip over and over and over and............ But they never played the parts of his speech where he used the word "fight" 4 times! I was just in Fla. when Gov DeSantis signed the bill allowing the Fl. AG to sue any social network site that bans any one who violates their TOU, and it especially protects wacko's like Trump. Show of hands, how many of you saw the 60 Minutes interview with the CEO of Twitter 4 months ago? The first week Trump was in office, Dorsey's corporate lawyer, the main one, not the other 75 full time lawyers, told him Trump is twitting all sorts of lies and misinformation, we should ban him. Dorsey said "no, Trump is a world leader, we'll give him some slack." Every few months the Twitter Lawyer told Dorsey Trump keeps posting misinformation, he needs to be banned! Dorsey said no over and over for 3 years, 11 months, and 15 days. He did later allow Twitter censors to put up disclaimers when Trump tweeted something completely wrong. It's called liability people! Dorsey did not want to get sued because some Trump follower did something stupid because they saw it on Twitter. In late November when Trump realized he had legally and fairly lost the election, he started his tweeting about a rally on January 6 for people who wanted to stop the steal. I give Trump Credit, he tried to avoid having to over throw our election and declare himself Dictator of America. The fact he summoned election officials from Michigan and Wisconsin to the White House to try and get them to rig their states elections that had already been certified, proves Trump does not care about our constitution, just him self, and winning at any cost. Any way, Dorsey finally said the tweet's Trump sent out that were directly part of what lead to the January 6 riot happening, was just too much, and finally banned him. Keep in mind dozens of leaders of countries use Twitter, and as bizarre as a few of them have gotten, they never went far enough to get banned. Keep in mind Trump was only the 3rd President to ever be impeached, and the 1st President to be impeached twice. So the moral of the story is our social media sites have the right to ban or auto flag any of us, it's their company, and they give world leaders a lot more leeway than me. Plus there is already thousands of media outlets and web sites where people can post and read all the misinformation they want. If the SCOTUS up holds Florida's new law, that means I can move to Fl. and post stuff here on CL, and when it gets auto flagged I can sue them? I plan on going back to Fla in September to continue my research. Oh, my point is I want to see an investigation into what lead to the Insurgency on our Capital Building including documented video of people who made it clear they were there to "hang (kill) Mike Pence". Keep in mind our FBI had been keeping up with Trumps tweet's since the election and asked the Capital Hill Police if they wanted back up and the National Guard on stand by for his rally on the 6th! Believe what you want, but every thing that happened between November 3, 2020 through January 6, 2021 is well documented with video's good enough to arrest over 400 people, of which some where there to kill mike pence. Everything every politician has said about the insurrection is well documented for all of time, starting with the Congressman who said it "looked like tourist". That same politician was also photographed barricading a door to keep the tourist out. Historians are going to love that one! I bet they make up T-shirts with Rep.
