Back in November we took in an 8 month old German Shepherd mix (we didn't know the other half was Husky at the time), because the previous owner was getting surgery and wouldn't be able to care for her. She had her first shots, but needs to be updated and spayed. She's a good dog and has learned a few basic commands (sit, wait, lay down, play dead, etc.), though she can also be a bit stubborn. She has been great with my 11-year-old kid and she does good with the cats, though she tries to herd them around and doesn't like them getting near her food or treats. She has never bitten or even snapped at them, but she has growled to let them know she isn't happy. She's wary of new people, but once she knows they're friends, she turns into her goofy, happy cuddle bug self. I think she would do best with a more experience owner, but as long as she's loved and gets enough exercise (she enjoys fetch more than any dog should lol) she's a happy dog. There is a small rehoming fee to make sure she goes to a good home, but she will come with food, crate, and toys to enjoy at her new furever home!
