Title: Electrician Department: Field (Residential) Reports to: General Manager FLSA Status: Hourly Summary: Conducts, maintains, tests, repairs and oversees installation of all types of equipment and services bases on client needs. Electricians apply their knowledge of electrical electronic codes and title 24 compliance, understanding of lighting controls and mechanics of equipment. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment including but not limited to recessed can lighting, service upgrades, single and three phase electrical power, new ground up construction, remodels, complete re-wiring, pool lights and pumps, timers, motors, spas, interior and exterior lighting, phone and cable 2. Run of wire correctly in newly constructed and remodeled spaces 3. Understand and read electrical drawings with knowledge of electrical installation and material layout 4. Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance to company policy and safety procedures 5. Preventative maintenance as directed Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 1. Five Years’ experience as an residential electrician 2. Ability to demonstrate high proficiency of installation 3. Certification for accredited trade school 4. Work well with all levels of personnel 5. Ability to climb in overhead structures, work beneath benches and in close quarters while performing work 6. Highly safety conscious 7. Possesses a valid and current driver’s license with clear driving record 8. Possesses hand and cordless tools required to perform job duties 9. Ability to use electrical testing meters for all types of electrical testing. 10. Some knowledge of heavy equipment use 11. Ability to review plans and specification for maintenance, remodels and new construction projects. 12. Ability to read and write in English to maintain daily logs 13.
