Acting Offended when you have no argument

Description

When you don't have an argument, you pretend to be offended, to make your opposition back off. Democrats now believe that being 'offended' is the same as being 'right' in any argument. A Conservative Congressman recently addressed his home state legislature. He stated a few FACTS: "Republicans didn't go to war to keep their slaves, Democrats did" "Republicans didn't try to keep former slaves from becoming citizens, Democrats did" "Republicans didn't try to keep Blacks from being able to vote, Democrats did" "Republicans didn't try to prevent civil rights for Blacks, Democrats did" All these statements are TRUE, and yet he got a huge backlash over it. After his comments, Democrats in the legislature immediately called a 'RECESS', to compose themselves and come up with a reply. Instead of acknowledging the TRUTH they just heard, the Democrats came back into the chamber and stated how "offended" they were. They claimed many of them had to "fight back tears" and take time to calm down, after hearing such VIOLENT and OFFENSIVE language !! But that's not an argument against the truth, is it? Being 'offended' doesn't make the truth go away. The point of the story is, no matter how "OFFENDED" democrats may be about everything, that doesn't make them "right". Real Americans will continue to fight for truth over feelings.
