I bet you grew up watching Mr. Rogers every day. You loved going to the land of Make believe. Problem is your still there. :-) I really don't care what fuel cost in Europe. I don't live there. It is insane to buy oil from other countries that want to kill us. Why are we making them rich. You are right about one thing using up all the resources. will make it more important to find other alternative's. That being said You are not looing at the big picture. Imagine millions of cars and trucks ending their day and going to some charging port and plugging in. That draw will take a huge drain on the electrical grid. What we have now is not even close to what will be needed. Wind and solar does not even come close to producing enough even if you triple the size it will still be way to inefficient. There will still be a need for large power plants. Run by Guess? ALSO a big ALSO the delivery system The power grid will need to be totally overhauled. New towers new power lines across the whole country. You have to be very careful where you go with your EV. It is OK in big cities there are places to stop and charge. No so much other places. It would be very difficult to drive across the USA because the equipment for EV's is not set up to the point of fulfilling the need. So believe it or not. As much as you don't like it, fuel will be needed for a long time to come. SO Why should we be punished by having to pay high prices when most of us are just trying to scratch out a living support a family and enjoy what time we have. There are so many other issues that you can beat a drum about to save the world. Like Plastic everything is made with plastic killing the earth way more than fuel. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Rising fuel prices. (petaluma) First of all, fuel prices in America are a third of what they are in Europe and Asia. When i hear about gasoline and diesel prices going up it makes me happy. Increasing fuel prices will only make alternative fueled vehicles hit the market sooner. Oil prices are unstable. Electricity prices are very stable. Especially if you produce you own. Real energy independence means no oil whatsoever.
