Community Traffic Control is hiring Traffic Technicians to join our team! We are a company that provides traffic control services for road construction projects in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Traffic Technicians do the following type of work:
• Assemble & disassemble equipment in the shop
• Deliver equipment to job sites
• Maintain equipment on job sites throughout the length of the project
• Set up lane/ramp/highway closures
• Occasional traffic flagging
*Experience is a plus but is not necessary. We will provide on-the-job training.
*Compensation: $50K-$65K/year on average (NOTE: Wages earned at job sites are set by the federal government and are dictated under the Davis Bacon Act (1931). They are a combination of cash and fringe benefits).
*Pay Schedule: Paid weekly via Direct Deposit.
*Employment type: full-time hours during construction season; laid off during winter; called back in spring
Job Requirements:
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must.
• Commitment to work hard and with a sense of urgency
• Quick Learner and able to retain information/taught skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment, sometimes through extreme weather conditions (rain, sleet, snow, cold and hot temperatures, etc.)
• Flexibility to work varying shifts—Days, Nights, Weekends, and occasional overnight travel—as well as shifts that are sometimes longer than 8 hours
• A high degree of self-motivation and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, oftentimes repetitively
• Physical stamina is a must
• We are a Drug Free Workplace: pre-employment drug test is required and random testing occurs throughout the season
