SUMMARY: Assist Golf Superintendent in the planning, organizing, assigning, and completion of grounds maintenance tasks and functions. Perform varied tasks required for the upkeep and care of golf course. Serves as the lead groundskeeper to assist Golf Superintendent in overseeing golf course maintenance by receiving daily assignments and ensuring grounds crew properly and efficiently maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Shall perform a variety of tasks to include supervision of and may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, and fertilizing, digging, raking and sprinkler installation. Apply at: santaclaran.com/en/careers.html www.santaclaran.com ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: • Generate or receive work orders, estimate hours needed to complete task, organize and assign work to be completed based on established routines and deadlines. Follow through to ensure completion of work order. Suggest and implement changes in work practices for better efficiency and quality. • Respond to questions, resolve problems, and provide technical and other assistance to staff • Operates and assist in training new employees in the proper and safe operation of turf management equipment. • Planting, fertilizing and other gardening jobs as needed. • Keeps all related equipment clean, maintained and stored properly. • Keeps equipment storage room neat, clean and organized. • Completes inventory of supplies and informs manager when additional supplies are needed. • Shall perform routine “rounds” of the grounds in the evening enforcing noise and other curfews and fulfilling any guest needs. • Install irrigation systems, and hand-change as needed. Perform preventative maintenance and repair of irrigation if skills allow or as requested. Help monitor irrigation so that it will not interfere with golf course activities Keep all areas clean and sanitized as directed. • Responsible for maintaining a regular, consistent attendance record. • Shall perform other duties as needed.
