We're looking for an exceptional Warehouse Assistant to help us achieve our operating plan. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will work as part of a dynamic team to ensure that technicians receive parts efficiently as well as assist in ensuring stock levels are maintained in the Warehouse. Our ideal candidate needs to be reliable and outgoing. Prior industry knowledge in purchasing and ordering parts for plumbing, HVAC or electrical is required. This position will include delivering parts half of the time and sourcing and acquiring parts half of the time. Requirements: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Quick, sound decision-making abilities. - Ability to build trust and demonstrate empathy. - Advanced computer and data entry experience and the ability to type 40 WPM - Ability to handle weighted merchandise, up to 55 lbs.; up to 85 lbs., on occasion. - Read and interpret maps and GPS directions. - A valid driver's license. - You must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle. - Ability to pass a drug test. - Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life. Responsibilities: - Sourcing and acquiring parts technicians need delivered to the job site. - Assist technicians with stocking and inventory of the trucks. - Delivers equipment, materials, and tools from the warehouse and vendors to technicians in the field. - Assists in removing old materials from the jobsite, and properly disposes of materials in designated areas. - Enters and reconciles technician purchase orders - Restocks and labels inventory in the warehouse. - Works closely with vendors to deliver best parts available. - Communicates delivery times and assignments with Dispatch to maximize turnaround. - Returns and reorganizes all usable service items to the service vehicle or warehouse. - Verifies content, quality, and quantity of parts to be delivered before sourcing parts or if delivering, before leaving vendor or warehouse. - Completes general grounds maintenance around the company office, such as shoveling snow, sweeping, trash removal and breaking down scrap metal. - Uses and maintains the tools or equipment found in warehouse or on the fleet vehicles. - Willing to learn how to perform minor emergency vehicle repairs such as headlight replacements. - Communicates clearly and builds rapport with employees and vendors. - Shapes company culture by living out agreed upon values, specifically ethics and integrity. - Other duties, as assigned.
