Description
A Demolition Foreman is accountable for the overall supervision of an assigned project including but not limited to coordination meetings, project milestones, and quality assurance, profitability, and safety goals while developing team members assigned on site. The Foreman will partner with the Project Management Team to coordinate, schedule, organize and ensure timely, cost-effective and safe performance on all job activities, based on an understanding of the scope of work and other contractual obligations. As a point of reference of both workers and supervisors, the foreman will be a key person for the completion of a project.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Good communication skills
Understanding the process of selective, interior, exterior demolition, materials staging, equipment operation and overall site cleanup Valid drivers license
Relay problems, conflicts, job status, and other relevant information to Project Manager
Verify all equipment and supplies delivered to the job are received as ordered and in good condition
All job site tool inventory
Inspect all work, making sure it is done to standard, and taking corrective action when necessary
Resolve problems when they arise
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Requirements
Five years of experience running commercial demolition projects with crews of at least four individuals.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate and report effectively
Problem-solving abilities
Good physical condition and stamina
High school diploma
