Join us in the 2021 Freedom Grand Parade put on by the Ludington Area Jaycees on the 4th of July. Thank you for your interest in the Freedom Festival Grand Parade! We appreciate your support and celebration of the 4th of July in our community. This is a large event attended by thousands of local residents and tourist alike. In order to keep things running smoothly, we require all participants abide by the following rules: NO throwing of candy or other items from a float. Items may be handed out by walkers only. This is not only a rule, but also a CITY ORDINANCE and violators may be ticketed.NO water guns/pistols or water balloons.If your entry will make a mess (i.e. animals) then you are responsible for IMMEDIATE clean up.NO selling or solicitations on the parade route.NO handing out beverages including water.NO helium balloons as they post an environmental hazardNO MORE than 2 car lengths between the entry in front of you. Large gaps will NOT be tolerated.Please remember that there are children in the parade audience and plan your entry accordingly.Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the route and/or banning from future parades. This is a RAIN or SHINE event. In the case of Sever, inclement weatehr, the Freedom Festival Grand Parade will be CANCELLED. Refunds WILL NOT be given in the event of a cancellation. Indemnification Agreement. In consideration of the acceptance of entry into the Freedom Festival Grand Parade, we hereby release the Ludington Area Jaycees from any and all liability or any and all injuries or damages whatsoever arising form the participation in the aforementioned parade. Furthermore, all federal, state, and city ordinances, laws, and regulations will be upheld by parade participants. Photo Release:By participating in this public event, the parade entrants release the Ludington Area Jaycees to use photographs of registered partipants in promotional materials.
