Whether you've never canned before or simply want to brush up on your skills, Melinda's got you covered. Topics of this class will include the differences between water bath and pressure canning, equipment needed for each method, processing times, important safety techniques and the best ways to harvest and prepare produce before canning. We'll also have delicious samples for you to try from our own Lehman's pantry! Space is limited; reserve your seat today. If you have a gauge style canner and would like to have it tested, Melinda has graciously offered to test the lid during the class! All you need to bring is your lid. FAQs Is there an age limit to attend? Age 10+. Please note that the class content is NOT geared toward children, but we understand that some young people may have special interest in the subject, so they are more than welcome to attend, provided they purchase a ticket and meet the age limit. Parents with babies are also welcome to bring their child to class, but we ask that you be courteous to the other class participants if your children begin to get antsy.
