Babysitter Training Course Monday-Thursday from 10am-12pm each day. Open to participants 10-14 years old. This course is designed to prepare young teens to be safe in unsupervised settings, whether home alone, watching siblings, or babysitter other children. It is designed for participants in grades 5-8 and will cover the following areas: safety skills, child care skills, first aid and rescue skills, and life/business skills. This course is instructor led and interactive, with hands-on demonstrations and skills practice used soft-bodied dolls and medical manikins. Participants will also receive a CPR certification. Heartsaver CPR/AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion cart in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a course completion card that is valid for two years.
