A community-based domestic violence organization named Sego Lily Center for the Abused Deaf is offering training
The Deaf community is naturally a multicultural one; the presenters on the Dream Team represent the intersectionality of the Deaf community- Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, and Black Deaf. Our training primarily covers the cultural and linguistic aspects of the Deaf community. Understanding the ways domestic violence occur differently within the community and their perceived relationship may inspire an effective approach in working with them. Join this training to become a better advocate to the Deaf survivors of violence.
