We are a small but rapidly growing New-England-based book publisher. We have immediate need for an artist to illustrate a children's book. This is a live project. The manuscript is finished, and illustration work can begin as soon as an illustrator is selected. The subject of the book requires realistic illustrations with figures and objects accurately proportioned, not fanciful or comic. This could be a good opportunity for a person who is looking to break into the field and build a portfolio, because we're less interested in your experience and credentials, and more interested in your ability, and your willingness to work cooperatively and at a timely pace.
