Nevada's position on renters

Description

I learned my neighbors oven a 50 amp appliance is using a branch circuit of 10 gauge aluminum wire. I pointed out to the owner the safety issues associated with this. I informed him that the wire is likely to over heat to the point the insulation could melt exposing the conductors. If that were to occur arcing could take place which may lead to a fire. He ignored my advise and found someone to hook it up anyway. I was to say the least very upset. My neighbors dwelling would put me in danger if a fire was to break out. My landlord / property owner has no regard for the safety of his renters. His only concern is collecting rent which he does not put a dime back into the property. I called the city and was referred to the fire marshal. I explained my concerns not only with the oven, I shared many other safety issues and I was told he would look into it. Four weeks have passed. He did come to the property and the only thing he pointed out was barbeques were not allowed at rentals. I am at a loss as it seems our lives do not matter. Does anyone have any suggestions to get issues like this addressed?
