Kennel Assistant/Veterinary Assistant About our practice: Since 2000 we have been busy providing quality care for small animals in the Pequot Lakes area. We are located in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota. Pequot Lakes Animal Hospital is an integrative veterinary hospital with services ranging from preventative medicine, surgery, and dentistry, to acupuncture, herbs, and laser therapy. Our veterinarians bring a wide range of expertise in providing our clients and their pets with the best medical treatment and deliver it with care and compassion. Your mission: Your mission will be to help our company achieve our purpose of helping and healing as many pets as possible. You will be responsible for keeping our patients clean, walked, bathed and fed. You will help the veterinary technicians and the veterinarians, holding animals, prepping lab tests, and getting pets ready for surgery. Your job will be to assist the staff in helping and healing our patients. Specific responsibilities & duties: • You must be capable of handling both dogs and cats. • You will oversee the kennel room, making sure it is clean for all the pets. • We need you to assist the staff in patient restraint, preparing lab samples, cleaning exam rooms between appointments as well as scrubbing the surgery suite between and after surgery. • Other duties as required. Required qualifications/experience: • Our ideal candidate will have a passion to help animals and their owners. • We are willing to train the right person. • You should have attention to detail in your work. Offered salary & other compensations: We offer a base hourly pay based on experience, along with performance based rewards monthly.
