how hard is it to sneak in a cat to no pet apartment

Moving to Bellingham soon and notice most apartments are not pet-friendly. I have a cat right now for the last 4 years and my current landlord has no clue, but it is a big complex. We are allowed to have pets just did not want to pay a 600$ deposit knowing full well the cat would damage nothing and sure enough it has not. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this. Like neighbors turning you in or something. they have to give 24-hour notice to enter here, so we always just take cat elsewhere. Thanks for any info
