Inventory Control Summary Maintains records of materials in inventory and on orders. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities. Cycle counts inventory room and accountable for discrepancies. Duties and Responsibilities Receives, unpacks, and stocks items as necessary on shelves. Issues parts to production on Work Orders and receives back finished goods into inventory room. Pack and Ship finished goods to customers & vendors based on Sales orders or RMA. Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; tracks orders and investigates problems. Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports. Processes and documents return as required following established procedures. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, assisting production and administration. Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills. Database management skills Must be very organized, dependable and disciplined to carry out tasks. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No forklift driving needed.
