I was at one of my usual flying venues (a grassy field adjacent to E. Dakota Ave. between N. Barton Ave. and N. Cedar Ave.) late on the morning of 05-27-21 flying my Holy Stone HS720E when a homeless man walked up to me and gave me a large (approx. the size of a DJI Phantom 3 Standard drone) white drone with no markings.
The drone appears to employ WiFi FPV and also appears to have brushed motors so it is definitely toy-grade.
The battery connector has been snipped off and the flight battery itself was not present; however you can easily procure another connector and solder it on and also easily obtain another flight battery.
It has prop guards but I removed them immediately after returning home.
My friends at https://www.rcgroups.com/ have informed me that the drone is in fact a Syma X8C Venture with tiltable camera (via a control on the transmitter).
Please email me if you or your child was flying this drone and it "got away" from you and subsequently vanished.
