MILWAUKEE, WI — The first game of the year where the American Family Field opens up to 100 percent capacity will be on June 25, the Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday.
The Brewers will play against the Colorado Rockies at 3:10 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled time of 7:10 p.m. The time was moved because Opening Day is traditionally an afternoon start, the team said. The date is dubbed "Re-Opening Day 2021."
The game will include appearances from Cecil Cooper and Paul Molitor, a special national anthem performance and other season-opening ceremonies, the team said.
In addition, all fans in attendance will receive a free magnet schedule, courtesy of Palermo's. The first 10,000 fans to enter will receive free t-shirts as well, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual, the team said.
The Brewers play against the San Diego Padres tonight. The changes for fans regarding masks and carry-ins at games announced on Wednesday won't go into effect until June 1.
