REDMOND, WA — King County detectives are seeking home surveillance footage to help solve a mail theft that recently targeted more than 20 homes in the Ames Lake neighborhood outside Redmond. According to the sheriff's office, a 911 caller reported the theft in the morning on May 22, along 289th Ave. NE. The caller said he awoke to find he and his neighbors' mailboxes pried open, along with two larger banks of mailboxes.
A search of the ara mostly turned up a few pieces of advertising strewn about the ground, deputies said. Now, investigators are looking to meet up with homeowners in the area who may have captured footage of the suspect with surveillance cameras.
