Join suspension wizard Jules Collins for a crash course in mountain bike suspension!
Midwest Dirt Legion & Behind Bars Bicycle Shop present a special event for the nonbinary, trans, and women members of our community. We will cover the following topics:
- What suspension is
- The different kinds of suspension
- Common terminology
- Setting your suspension up
- Finding what works for you personally
- How often to service your suspension
You will also have the chance to ride on various props to get a feel for your suspension.
We recommend this clinic for people who are comfortable riding out of the saddle and whose bikes have adjustable suspension. How can you tell? If your front fork can be pumped up with an airshock and has a rebound knob on the bottom of one of the fork legs, then you have adjustable suspension.
We will be enforcing our Safer Space Policy:
1. Respect everyone regardless of gender, orientation, race, ability etc. Respect people's pronouns. If you're not sure, ask!
2. Please use terms like folks, y'all, people, riders, cats, etc. to address the group at large. Terms like ladies, guys, women, dudes and other gendered terms may not appropriately encompass the entire group.
Please sign a waiver before the event by going to www.behind-bars.com >Events > Group Ride waiver.
