It’s interesting the you are trying to defend giant oil conglomerates. Why? Perhaps you just like to argue.
Yes, many goods in our Ives are derived from oil. Some are good. Some are not so good. But the big difference is, gasoline is where we as consumers get exploited.
Items such as computers and household good that are made of plastic are what we call durable goods. You buy them once and they last for many year. There is far less price manipulation and exploitation of consumers with these types of materials.
Items such as gasoline and diesel are are what we call consumables. Items that are designed to be consumed.
Note: gasoline companies do not raise their prices when their cost go up. Gasoline companies raise their prices when they predict that prices are going to go up. They jack up their prices before they even now that they will be paying more for crude oil.
These are all strong arguments for alternative fuels. I like the biofuel idea. We can literally grow our gasoline and use it in the same cars that we drive today. Cleaner, cheaper, domestic fuel that creates jobs for farmers in the good ol’ U.S of A. Surely you do not have a problem with that do you...? Perhaps your problem with /biofuel is that Trump never backed it. If trump supported the idea it would be a winner right?
