We are looking for driven individuals to join our team and are eager to work and learn while representing themselves at Lehmann Construction & Design, LLC. Applicants must possess good communication skills, mechanical skills, and the ability to work individually or in a team. Know how to use basic hand tools such as hammers, saws, nails, tape measures and screwdrivers; must have your own set of basic tools. A clean driving record and reliable transportation is a must. Work is completed Monday through Friday, on rare occasion weekends. Carpenter Assistants are considered subcontractors and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. We perform a simple background check on all those that apply. Duties include but not limited to: 1. Using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas, machines, or equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site. 2. Fasten timbers or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware. 3. Perform tie spacing layout and measure, mark, drill or cut. 4. Select tools, equipment, or materials from storage and transport items to work site. 5. Drill holes in timbers or lumber. 6. Cut timbers, lumber, or paneling to specified dimensions. 7. Position and hold timbers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
