Job Description Local Shipping Container Company in search of an experienced Class A CDL driver to transport empty containers in the Middle Tennessee area in a safely and timely manner. Responsibilities Transport empty shipping containers to and from customers Pick up containers from depots Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedule Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions Driving a forklift Verify Delivery Instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software(GPS, Google, etc) Class A CDL License Current Medical Card Clean Background Clean MVR Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations(traffic, weather conditions etc) Forklift Experience required Welding Knowledge a plus Shipping Container Experience a plus Customer Friendly and Oriented Insurance Offered, Employer pays 20% Monday through Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM Paid Weekly Time Card, no e-logs PTO Time Great Pay Great Environment Local Driving
