Doylestown Pet Resort & Training Center Holds Dog Prom Fundraiser

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Harrisburg-based nonprofit that helps feed and care for animals and educate pet owners and veterinary students across the state has received a $3,000 donation from the Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center as part of its annual dog prom. Clients of the Doylestown dog daycare program donated to the nonprofit Animal Care PA during the event, held virtually on May 14. As part of the event, the resort daycare on North Shady Retreat Road was transformed into a medieval castle surrounded by blooming spring gardens for a royal festival. Knights, princesses and court jesters gathered around the May Pole and had official portraits taken. At the end of the event, the dogs and their pet parents received gourmet biscuits and popcorn party favors from Clusters Popcorn in Peddler's Village. "Helping pets and organizations throughout our community has always been a shared missionamong our resort family," said Dr. Laura Weis, who owns and operates the resort and Doylestown Veterinary Hospital with her husband, Dr. Randy Weis. "Animal Care PA is grateful for Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center's generosity forchoosing us as their charity of choice for their Dog Prom," ACPA Executive Director Jennifer Keeler said.
