ELMHURST, IL – An intoxicated Elmhurst woman who called police early Tuesday morning ended up getting arrested after shoving an officer, according to a police report. The incident was similar to one that police reported eight years earlier.
Ashley Stavropoulos, 33, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and taken to the DuPage County Jail. She was released the next day.
According to the report, Stavropoulos called the police department's front desk and hung up. When officers spoke with her, she said she was upset, but fine now, police said.
The officers left and were parked a few blocks away when she approached one of them, argued with him and then shoved him in the chest, police said.
The incident took place at 12:30 a.m. near Alexander Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue, police said.
In April 2013, Stavropoulos, then 25, was arrested on charges of battery and resisting a police officer. Police said they found her slumped over the wheel of her white Cadillac in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue.
The report said Stavropoulos "slapped an officer across his chest and ran away."
