DARIEN, IL — The Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports: Nathan Strelak, 20, of Bolingbrook, was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday at Shell gas station, 8226 Cass Ave., on charges of DUI, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, consumption of alcoholic liquor by a person under 21, no valid registration and improper lane usage. He was released and given a date to appear in court. An officer saw Strelak's car parked at the gas station with heavy bumper damage. A catalytic converter was removed from a Honda Odyssey between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. May 18. The loss is estimated at $1,000. Another converter was removed from a Honda CRV between May 16 and May 18 in the 7000 block of Bentley Avenue. The loss is estimated at $500. Catalytic converters contain metals that have become a lot more valuable in the last year. Raquel Kinchen, 31, of Darien, was cited about 9 p.m. May 19 on 75th Street on charges of no valid driver's license and improper lighting. She was released and given a date to appear in court. Arielle Bryant, 29, of Chicago, was cited at 9:30 p.m. May 19 at Lemont Road and 83rd Street on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting. She was released and given a date to appear in court. Shawn Warfield, 45, of Downers Grove, was cited about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 7800 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a revoked license and speeding. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
