Description

BURNSVILLE, MN— The city of Burnsville is conducting a study to develop a more inclusive transportation system and meet the objectives of the Sustainability Guide Plan and 2040 Comprehensive Plan, it said. The study will identify the needs, opportunities and priorities for future transportation projects, the city said. The city said it is also working to develop a "complete streets policy" to show the community's commitment to supporting safe travel for all residents. The study will look at "diverse" transportation methods such as walking, biking, taking public transit and driving, and will be conducted in the spring and summer of 2021, the city said. By early fall, the city said it will present a plan for community feedback. The study will also consider bike and scooter share stations, electric car charging and car sharing stations and policies to integrate multi-modal transportation into the community, the city said. You can provide feedback for this study through the city's survey. You can find more information about the study here.
