Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services provides a spectrum of mental health services through various programs for populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth.  We are now hiring a qualified Dishwasher to join our team in Altadena, CA. The role of the Dishwasher is to wash dishes, utensils, cookware floors, walls and all equipment. Assists the Food service manager and cook(s) with food preparation, serving and kitchen/cafeteria trash/cleaning as requested, and assists the manager with food pick-up and restocking. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(These are the essential job functions for this position. The essential functions of this job include, but may not be limited to those listed in this job description. Employees hired for this position must be able to perform the essential function of this job without imposing significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of themselves or others.) 1. Washes dishes, utensils and cookware following established procedures. 2. Can operate dish machines to agency and manufacturer specifications. 3. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift. 4. Trash removal. 5. Assists the cook(s) with food preparation and serving as requested. 6. Assists in performing various cleaning tasks as needed. 7. Assists the supervisor in picking up, inventorying and stocking food produce and supplies. 8. Assists in putting away deliveries in the storeroom, refrigerator and freezer. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS-High School diploma or GED AND/OR some relevant experience required;-Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
