Description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform staging and loading. Your primary goals and responsibilities include: •Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner •Reporting shortages damages and misplacements to your immediate supervisor •Identifying and recovering any received or shipping damage •Ensuring proper stock rotation by following lot number identification •Ensuring that the exact number and type of product is located and shipped •Making certain product comes from the proper locations •Performing picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards •Moving product from the staging or storage areas into railcars or trailers •Stacking and staging product and materials •Maintaining the facilities, equipment, and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion •Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications •1 year of Standup or Sit-Down Forklift driving experience •Capable of operating forklifts and their attachments •Basic computer skills to use the Warehouse Management System •Good arithmetic and reading skills •Capable of following verbal and written instructions •Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. Preferred Qualifications •Bilingual English/Spanish •Availability to work various shifts •Other desired qualifications that are not measurable or quantitative Loading trucks Vacuum Tube operation Physical Requirements 10 to 12 hour shifts must have flexible schedule Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.00 /hour
