Description

Hi, the title of this is Looking for a Mentor who is a Social Studies or History Teacher I have a B.A. in Political Science & Government; I graduated with a 3.5 Grade Point Average I'm looking for an experienced Social Studies Teacher mostly and maybe a history teacher to let me know the inside knowledge or the insider's view of what it's like teaching in 2021 I'm not enrolled in any M.A. program yet, although I've been "shopping around" the different teaching degree graduate schools in Southern California Teaching is an honorable, heroic field.. but what are the pragmatic practical aspects to it? Do teachers have to every day worry about "gun violence"? Do beginning teachers who have received their "single studies" M.A. in Teaching, in my case it will be "Social Studies," have to worry about periods of time in which they work part time only as substitute teachers? Is the demand for teaching still high as more and more baby boomer teachers retire in the decade of the 2020's? *Essentially, I'm looking for an established High School Social Studies Teacher to Mentor me on the practical aspects of teaching nowadays (what the Graduate schools will not or leave out) It will be a paid gig, or it could be for a volunteer (make the world a better place by a teacher mentoring a prospective teacher) type of deal. Please only serious inquiries. Thanks in advance, for any constructive help...
