Street Sweeper Operator (East San Diego County) STARTING : $15.00-$19.00 DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE employment type: full-time Local San Diego County Street Sweeping company looking to hire you to operate our street sweepers. Benefits include Medical / Dental / Accident Insurance and 401K. We are currently looking for: NIGHT TIME (INCLUDING WEEKENDS) DRIVERS WITH CLASS C LICENSES. This position is more than a job. It will tell you what you need to know before you apply. -- A good 7 year driving record is required. -- No alcohol or drug related convictions within 7 years. -- Ability to speak, understand, write and read English is preferred - but not mandatory. -- Must be able to follow verbal & written directions (including these) -- Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required -- Must pass physical, drug test and insurance clearance. We also do random testing. --- Must be eligible to work in the United States ---Must be willing to submit to a background check (for eligibility to get onto military installations) -- Must be able to lift 20 lbs on a frequent basis. -- Must be able to climb into and onto the vehicles many times per day. -- Must be at least 23 years old, (21 with military or special training.) -- Must be able to work long hours and weekends. -- Must live within 20-30 minutes of the City of El Cajon. (FYI: many people think they can drive a sweeper 8 hours per day, then add a 45-60 min. commute at each end. It also means you are not close enough to pick up extra hours if required.)
