Currently seeking 20 firewatch/helpers to work in the San Diego, CA shipyards. Below is more information. JOB DUTIES: - will perform clean up, grinding, cutting, and needle gunning -running lines and leads, carrying rigging equipment -assisting welders and fitters JOB QUALIFICATIONS: -ability to obtain access to 32nd street naval base as work will be done at naval base san diego, nassco, and bae system shipyards -willing to work 40+ hours a week Monday-Friday, good attendance is required -ability to use hand tools and power tools, no previous work experience required -great position for aspiring welders as individuals will be trained in welding and will be able to test to move into a welding position if wanted The position is on 1st shift, start time of 6am. These are long term positions with the potential to move into a welding role based on performance. The position pays $15/hr and can start as soon as 6/1/2021.
