Seeking vocalist/instrumentalist

We are an experienced, highly competent vocal/instrumental trio looking for one more person. We're looking for someone like us who can sing harmony well within a close, four-part arrangement while also playing an instrument competently. If you sing lead, that's a plus but not a requirement. Instruments that would fit best for us include percussion (i.e. congas/bongos) and drums, and stringed instruments (bass, guitar, violin, mandolin, etc.). Keyboards aren't out of the question, but we already have good coverage in that area. Instrumental virtuosity is not a priority, but solid competence is; a general knowledge of music theory is desirable. We are essentially a cover group but do sometimes work up our own arrangements. That said, if you have original music that fits our general approach, it would be welcome. Because our focus is multi-part harmonies, some ability to read charted music is required although sight-singing is not. Overall, we may not be a great fit for musical beginners. We target several diverse markets, so our repertoire spans a wide variety of styles and eras, from 50s pop/jazz through mainstream popular music of the 60s to 00's on into recent artists like Little Big Town, Paramore, Maroon 5, and more. While we do include up-tempo material, the music is generally more oriented to listening than dancing. If this post interests you so far, please reach out to us and let's talk.
