First of all, fuel prices in America are a third of what they are in Europe and Asia. When i hear about gasoline and diesel prices going up it makes me happy. Increasing fuel prices will only make alternative fueled vehicles hit the market sooner. Oil prices are unstable. Electricity prices are very stable. Especially if you produce you own. Real energy independence means no oil whatsoever.
