Basic Responsibilities Performs various duties in the operation, maintenance, construction, and storekeeping of the District's water systems to assure that local, state, and federal regulations are adhered to and that prompt, efficient, courteous service is provided to water utility customers. Minimum Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent. • Level 1: Minimum of Two years of water operator experience and Water Distribution Specialist – IT or Water Distribution Manager 1- IT certifications. • Level 2: Minimum of Three years of water operator experience and Water Distribution Specialist or Water Distribution Manager 1 certifications. Class A CDL w/air brake endorsement • Level 3: Minimum of Four years of water operator experience and Water Distribution Manager 1, and Cross Connection Control Certifications. Class A CDL w/air brake endorsement • Level 4: Minimum of Five years of water operator experience and Water Distribution Manager 1, Cross Connection Control Certification and WTPO 1- IT. Class A CDL w/air brake endorsement. • Level 5: Minimum of Six years of water operator experience and Water Manager 2, WTPO-1 and Cross Connection Control certifications.
