• Guaranteed 4-hour daily pay—you get paid for 4 hours if done early! • Looking for someone that wants to work every other week May be some instances of working two weeks or more in a row Flexible in switching weeks • Must be RELIABLE-RELIABLE-RELIABLE • Hands-on training will be provided • Must have a good driving record and be able to pass background check What the job entails: Two people work together on average from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. daily to pick-up mail, prepare it for mailing, and drop it off at the Post Office. Ideal candidates: • USPS window experience/understanding of postal rate structure • Retired looking for a part-time, fun gig General duties include the following: • Drive small cargo truck to pick up mail from one client Must be able to do light lifting • Return to business to unload the collected parcels, letters, and flats What is a flat? (a piece of mail about the size of a magazine) • Sort letters to a three-way sort (based on ZIP Codes, no memorization required) • Run letters through state-of-the-art postage meter • Weigh and measure packages • Apply postage meter strips to packages • Create labels for larger packages • Complete a “mailing statement” for letter-sized mail • Reload all “finalized” mail • Drive to Tucson Main Post Office and unload and enter mail at Business Mail Entry Unit • Total driving required is less than 10 miles daily • Minimal maintenance on the postage meter to include the following Blowing out the machine Adding postage Replacing ink cartridge Replacing meter tape spool • Gas vehicle as required • Pick up empty cardboard tray equipment from Post Office and supply client with this equipment as needed
