Job Description AEA is currently seeking a reliable person with extensive experience as a general manual machinist or with a mechanical aptitude to fill a role for first shift in our shop. As a General Machinist Trainee, you will begin in our clean up area and eventually set up and be in charge of various grinders, lathes and Bridgeport machines. Overall duties for the Machine Operator Trainee will involve: • Learning all our products and identification and applicable specifications • Performing quality control on all parts in a timely manner • Reading and analyzing appropriate service bulletins and shop manuals as needed Job Responsibilities As a Machinist Trainee for AEA, you will mainly work in cleanup and eventually grinders, lathes and Bridgeport machines. Specific responsibilities of the machinist Trainee include but not limited to: • Making own set-ups and correct identification of parts being reworked • Following all shop safety procedures, such as wearing appropriate clothing, footwear and eye protection • Appropriate housekeeping and 5’s of your work area and maintenance of your equipment Requirements As a Machine Operator Trainee for AEA, you must have superior mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, must pay impeccable attention to detail and be able to work alone and as part of a team.
