Our dog Cochise is 15 years old and has hip displetia. We have been holding off putting him down because he still has puppy moments and was not expressing any pain outside of his arthritis which we have been giving CBD oil to manage. But now he is unable to control his bowel movements and is now showing more pain when he tries to lie down. We are on a very fixed income and cannot afford the $500 on average costs to humanely put him down. Can anyone offer any suggestions to help. We would be so grateful. Cochise has been a working dog for 14 years and has been a great source of comfort for me and it truly pains me to think of life without him but we want to do right by him.
