Well-established Baking Company based out of Savannah, GA is seeking a reliable, dependable Warehouse Shipper to join their warehouse in Charleston, SC! Warehouse Shippers work 8 hour shifts, from around 5:00PM until the job is finished, depending on what time the first truck arrives. Standard days of operation are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including holidays. The pay starts off at $13.58/hr. There is eligibility for a raise as well as access to a generous benefits package after 90 days. The Warehouse Shipper duties include, but are not limited to: • Ensuring that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly • Loading and unloading to appropriate distribution areas so that shipping schedules are met • Physically moving product to all shipping areas • Must be able to walk and stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours • Must be able to routinely stoop, bend and lift product containers weighing 20-30 lbs from floor level up to 90 degrees • Must be able to work in confined spaces • Must be able to withstand excessive heat in the summer and cold in the winter Experience and Skills Required: • High School Diploma/GED • 1 year previous warehouse experience highly preferred • Must possess the willingness and ability to perform manual work • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs Ambassador is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
