I was in a Buffalo, NY band for 5 or so years and we broke up over a year ago. We played a lot around Buffalo. Mohawk Place, Nietzsches, Upstairs Goodbar, Milkies, house shows, and a bunch of other spots. Now I'm looking to play music with some local people, and get back into it this summer. I have been playing the drums since I was 12 (26 now) and I learned a lot from playing by ear and jamming and being in bands with friends over the years. I am in grad school, so I have a decent amount of free time this summer. I want to play music in the vein of indie/grunge/alt rock/post rock/noise rock/emo. Some bands I like are Sebadoh, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Polvo, Promise Ring, Braid, Pinback, Death Cab for Cutie, Flaming Lips, Minus the Bear... Alex G, Built to Spill, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, etc. There's a lot more! I want to play raw originals, or create parts to originals from people who are interested. Looking to hopefully jam with some people and take it from there and see what we can conjure together. We might be able to play in my basement or attic in Buffalo.
