Join Columbus Gives Back and help Student Success Stores equip youth to be successful and not worry about basic essentials! Columbus Gives Back is proud to partner up with the Student Success Stores! Growing their reach and impact significantly, they are now serving 11 schools in Columbus and distributing basic essentials like food, clothing, hygiene, and school items to students in need. Where: 1509 Blatt Blvd is a Commercial Self Storage location. Your event leaders and an SSS board member or intern will meet volunteers in the front of the building, and walk you to the storage unit. When: Saturday, June 19th (9:00am - 11:00am) Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe, all Columbus Gives Back volunteers are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing as appropriate to complete volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. About Student Success Stores: By providing students with the basic essentials, Student Success Stores helps ensure each child starts the school day healthy, confident and ready to learn. We need your help to keep the shelves stocked and reach even more students who need our support. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
