Description

Meet Jefferson, he's a year and a half old, and he's deaf, and therefore pretty skiddish. He's very energetic, and is mouthy and very paw happy when he plays. We got him to be a service dog for a child, but due to his disability, he is unable to fulfill that role. Additionally, My GF was permanently injured in a car accident, and due to his strength and energy level can't be unsupervised around her and consequently spend most of his day kenneled. Jefferson's needs are as follows: If you have other pets, they must be friendly, he almost always wants to play so please be sure your pets are tolerant of an energetic dog. He's nippy so just be aware if you have small children. He is NOT an apartment dog, he absolutely needs a yard, either with a fence so he can run free, or an able adult that can take him out for exercise several times a day. He will not go to a home that I can't verify, I'm not asking for any rehoming fee, I'm only asking that he go to the right home that can be patient with the fact that he's deaf. He does know a few basic hand signals...the trick is getting his attention to see them, he can also easily be redirected with a laser pointer.
