The Fundamentals of Sewing Class was made to teach creators the basics of using their sewing machine while completing a prject! You'll learn sewing terminology all and the foundational skills of sewing. These skills include learning to sew with a seam allowance, pivoting your needle, slip stitching by hand, and sewing pointy corners and how to use basic sewing tools. Creators are required to bring their own materials to the studio for the class. A limited amount of sewing machines are available for rent. Required class materials: Sewing machine w/ woven fabric needle (limited amount of machines for rent) 3 Fat quarters of fabric ( cotton/woven preferred) Polyfill cotton 12 oz Items found in your standard sewing kit: 1 spool of coordinating thread 1 hand sewing needle Fabric shears (scissors) Sewing gauge Tailors chalk
