Local non-profit animal rescue is looking for a good foster home for Sammy until he finds his forever home. The rescue will provide dog food, dog crate, Martingale collar, leash--anything he may need in foster care. We only ask that Sammy be offered a good, safe temporary environment. Shepherd/lab mix 3 years old, 53 pounds Fully vaccinated, neutered Cute, friendly boy who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Duplin County, NC. Sammy was used as a "tester" dog on incoming dogs because he was so good with other dogs. But then he was attacked by one of the dogs and now he is a little uncomfortable around other dogs but we think he will be fine with a slow introduction. He's very submissive and obedient with his humans and just wants to please. He would also enjoy being an only pet because he thrives on human attention. And Sammy is a fun-loving fellow to have around! He loves to go for walks, rides well in a vehicle, and is up for a good jog any day! And if you love to cuddle on the couch, he's your boy!
